Uses
Clinically only used as a disinfectant antiseptic for skin and mucous membrane infections, such as suppurative otitis media, suppurative dermatitis, acute and chronic rhinitis, burns, ulcers, etc. There is no stimulation to the tissue; pus or blood has no significant effect on its disinfection.
